June Jo's Little Women Club at The Quilted Crow

It's been six weeks since our last meeting, but the time sure did fly by.   When a quilter is busy, there's just never enough time.

Here are photos of completed quilt tops and their makers from our show and tell...

Beth's  HST  Challenge

From Club 9,  Beth's "Sisters" Quilt

Beth printed a photo of her mother on fabric, set it in this postage-stamp quilt, framed it with lace and embellished it with one of her mother's earrings.    What a sweet little quilt to remember a loved one.

Colleen just couldn't wait - she LOVES HSTs so much, that she had to jump ahead to the next quilt, "Point of View."

Members will be working on "Point of View" to Show and Tell at our July meeting.   I call mine "APB" because I broke so many rules while making it...

Hoping you all are stitching and making memories with your own quilts.

And sew on...

Maureen Mullen was pleased to show us her very sweet new stitchery pouch, that says, "Wherever I go, whatever I do, I'm never alone, my stitching comes too.

Shop owner, Sue Loring, once again, treated us with one of her earthly delights... Rhubarb Crumble, and showed us her beautiful wool work in progress.

Primitive Pin Cushion Pattern

In addition to being available for retail purchase, or included in a kit, on www.thequiltedcrow.com  I am very excited to announce that my Primitive Pin Cushion pattern is now being offered for wholesale purchase.

Shop Owners:  Contact me to carry my new pattern in your shop or use it in a class.

Guilds:   Looking for a meeting project.   Your members will be so proud that they made their own Primitive Pin Cushion.

Retreat Organizers:   Your stitchers will so enjoy this project.

If you are a member of a group, associated with a quilt shop, and would like to use this pattern as a meeting project, ask your shop owner to contact me.

Think your favorite quilt shop should carry my pattern to sell to the public?  Ask the shop owner to contact me.

My email address is nine.patch@yahoo.com

Busy ! Busy ! Busy !

The bus trip to see Infinite Variety, in NYC, was the motivation for making my red and white.  This little (13" square) quilt pays tribute to that wonderful exhibit.    It's hand-quilted - that's why it's taking time to complete.    Well... it's, finally, presentable.   Just need to attach the sleeve and label.

For the past several years, I have been fortunate to spend a long, quilting weekend with friends at the Henry Farm Inn, in Chester, VT.

This year I made A Little Somethin' Jacket (by CNT Pattern Company)
and my version of Itty Bitty Primitive Pinwheels (by Primitive Gatherings).
It's REALLY itty bitty at only 10 1/2" square.   I used a charm pack of Kansas Troubles' Favorites and cut the 5" squares twice to begin my quilt with 2 1/2" squares.   How cute is this !

Ta Da... yesterday I finished my version of Jo Morton's Lizzy's Little Quilt top, that will be introduced to Jo's Little Women Club this coming Thursday.    If you're a member of our club, here's a sneak peek...

Now it's time to get some real work done...  this house is a disgrace !

And sew on...

Joanne was reticent because her blocks were not consistent.
I suggested she check to make sure the screw, holding her presser foot on her machine, was tight.
Her color choices are beautiful and this is the beginning of a wonderful little quilt.

HST Challenge

The HST Challenge, that members will work on for the May meeting, was introduced.
This is my result from this challenge.

As always, it was a great JLWC day at the Quilted Crow.
